Relive the lifestyle and struggles of the Metis at Batoche, where Louis Riel and Gabriel Dumont led the final battle of the 1885 Northwest Rebellion/Resistance. Visit the restored church, rectory and battlegrounds as well as the cemetery, trenches, remains of the village, the battlefield and the military encampment. Guides in period costume are posted throughout the site. The Visitor Reception Centre offers a modern theatre presentation, exhibit hall, food and concessions. Located 90 km North of Saskatoon. May 8 - September 30.
