    Grasslands National Park

    Grasslands is the first national park of Canada that will preserve a portion of the mixed prairie grasslands native to Saskatchewan. Bordering the state of Montana to the south, the park is grouped in two blocks, each about an hours drive south of Swift Current. A park visitor centre is located in Val Marie along with a gift shop and museum.

    Great Sand Hills

    These active sand dunes measure 25 m (82 ft) heigh and cover a large area of land. Located in a chinook area, the strong winds are constantly changing the landscape, creating a unique destination for visitors. A museum in Sceptre details the history and legends behind the Great Sand Hills.

    Grasslands National Park
    Situated in the Prarie Grasslands region of Canada the park protects both common and rare praire plants and animals to ensure the geological history of the area is protected. Services include a self-guided driving eco-tour, interpretive programs and hiking trails. No open fires.     Buffalo Pound Provincial Park
    Set in the Qu'Appelle Valley the area was once used by early native Indians to corral bison. Attractions include a captive herd of bison, migrant waterfowl, Marsh Boardwald, Nicolle Flats Interpretive Area, and nature/hiking trails. Aquatic program and miniture golf for the kids. In winter, downhill ski rental and cross country ski trails.

    Crescent Park
    This park has been a part of Moose Jaw since its conception in 1911. Since then, the park has gained a tennis club, a library, a lawn bowling club, and outdoor pool, and an art gallery. The park emcompasses a total area of 11.3 ha (28 acres).
