    Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Park
    Remote wilderness park along the S shore of Lake Athabasca with air access from Uranium City, Stony Rapids and Fond du Lac. Park has no services and no user fee. It is characterized by sand dunes, pebble cuvered surfaces and sand blasted structures. Evidence of native Indian use dating back 7000-8000 years can be found. Most northerly dune formation in the world. Check with conservation officer prior to entering the area.

    Saskatchewan's largest provincial park is located in the rugged Candian Shield. The park consists of over 100 lakes providing excellent boating and canoeing. Interpretive program and many hiking trails are available. Park surrounds town of La Ronge where there are services not available in the park.

    Candle Lake Provincial Park

    Candle Lake Provincial Park features two campgrounds on the south side of the lake, and a vast wilderness on the NE shore. A 9-hole grass greens golf course is 15 km from both beaches. Numerous facilities in park or at nearby resort village of Candle Lake.

    Prince Albert National Park

    The Prince Albert National Park is an ideal destination for travellers in the summer and winter. Summer activities can include hiking, canoeing, and visits to our interpretive centres. The park offers summer programs and educational field trips for children as well as guides and information services for adults. Winter time at the park brings snowshoeing, skiing, and other activities in the pristine setting of Saskatchewan's most famous park. Within the park is the former home and final resting place of acclaimed author and conservationist, Grey Owl. Visit his cabin, available via a walking trail.
